It was a very welcome and comfortable place to stay for our family vacation
Not far from downtown Victoria, close to airport and Sidney, ferries. Reasonable rates. Pets allowed. Very friendly staff.
Was very clean but could use some updating.
We flew in late and the motel was very close to the airport so we didnt have to drive far for a room as we were tired
Convenience to the airport
1. Check in screw-up: On the 9th, I said I had a confirmed booking for 2 nights. On the 10th, before going to my room, I said that I wanted to settle up early since I had an early morning flight. They said that I had only checked in for one night and that they had removed the few belongings I had left in the room. I showed them my confirmed booking, got my belongings back, got the same room back. 2. House-keeping: The first time I used the room, there was a half empty glass of water and torn paper on the nightstand, indicating that someone had used the room after it was cleaned. The second time, after it had presumably been cleaned for new clientele, I found my used towel from the day before hanging where I had left it. 3. No computer/printer available for guest use: This should be a no brainer for a facility that bills itself as an "airport hotel". I needed to print boarding passes for my flight but they refused me access to their computer.
It was close to the airport which was very handy for a 5:30 am flight. The staff personally knocked on my door for a wake up call since the system was down that evening.
Simple set up and clean room.
There was no computer available for guest to use in case they need to contact someone through internet. There were no hot water kettle in the room and there were insufficient sampoo, hair conditioner and hand lotion in the washroom.
Close proximity to the airport. Friendly staff.
Old, ugly decor and a bit musty smelling.
Location, noise, very poor continental breakfast & breakfast room.
Wifi, location and included breakfeast
Not being abble to open the Windows, to small room
We stayed for 2 days. Housekeeping missed cleaning our room, thus no clean towels on our second day.
close to ferry, gas station
1. Very uncomfortable bed 2. Bathroom--dirty--large black marks in tub and black mold around outside edge of tub on floor. 3. Breakfat---tiny , and I mean tiny donuts-like x 12 --in a closed cabinet with glass door0 and bread slices, 6 ornages and 4 bananas, + 2 tubs cereals, milk and rather bland coffee.
I asked at the reception desk for a good place to watch the sunrise from. She told us about a great place, only a few minutes walk from the hotel that would be great. She was right! The dock at the water's edge was perfect. Thank you!
A little maintenance on the Hotel would make a BIG difference to this hotel. Little things needed fixing and if that had been done, we would not have needed to be moved from room to room.
The manager Darin was very nice and helpful.
location was awful... right by a mcdonalds drive thru and a very ropey trailer park right next door, i parked my car outside the room window as i really expected it to be broken into. the first room had not even been cleaned, the second was not much better. The beds were dirty, mattresses old, blankets old and worn. Corridor carpet was filthy. Free breakfast was very poor, but then, they usually are. Sadly, this is my final stay in any super 8, as they are universally shoddy, and very low end. This was the only place available, other than a couple of $300+ rooms in victoria, else i would have left immediately.
Everything else. The staff was extremely rude. They made unauthorized charges to my credit card and tried to overcharge me for the room. They were not "pet friendly" as advertised. Nowhere does it say they don't allow cats, but they claim otherwise. They charged me a $90 pet fee instead of the $15 listed. Apparently the $15 is for dogs. The plumbing needed work.
Location & acceptable room
Price, considering that the breakfast was so poor. I've stayed in other Super 8 motels that had both waffles and biscuits & gravy, plus fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. This had none of that. There were two kids of cereal, plus a few muffins and bread for toast. No fruit or yogurt especially missed.
